July to present date!

Oh my! So much has happened since our last post! Competition, coronation, and all of our activities & appearances have kept us so busy I'm just now getting around to this overdue update. In case you missed it, here are the results from the pageant:
Alyssa Hadley (your current blogger here!) is your 2009 NWMT ProRodeo Queen
Hannah Wilson is the 2009 NWMT ProRodeo Princess
Savannah Gentry is your 2009 NWMT Little Miss Rodeo

The three of us ladies jumped right into our reign the weekend after coronation with the 4th of July parades in Kalispell and Bigfork and have barely slowed down since! Later in July we also helped with the Heritage Days rodeos in Columbia Falls and participated in the parade.
In August, Hannah and I went down to the Missoula Stampede where we got to meet Miss Rodeo Montana, Lesli Furniss, and Miss Teen Rodeo Montana, Sam Manley, along with many other royalty from our great state! It was a rainy weekend though and we found ourselves soaking wet at the Saturday afternoon rodeo. The next week was our favorite time of year: our hometown NWMT Fair & Rodeo! Hannah and I participated in the grand entry at the rodeos and Savannah got to ride in the Dodge barrel truck all three nights as well. There was some great stock and we got to spend some more time with Lesli who was kind enough to help with our Kiddie Rodeo and pushing cows out of the arena.
September started with a bang as the three of us were invited to assist at the Ducks Unlimited banquet & auction. We got to eat some delicious food and carry around some very neat auction items. My favorite were the guns and the charcoal lab puppy I got to show off, she was adorable! Then Savannah and I went to Plains for their Labor Day rodeo. I got to carry the American flag for the opening of the Bull Riding event on Sunday which was cool. The final Summer Series Rodeo at the Blue Moon was also in Sept so we went there to do grand entry, push cows, and sell 50/50 tickets. The last weekend was the Log Jam benefit auction where we again helped with the live auction and also sold raffle tickets.
And that brings us to October! We were able to attend the final NRA rodeo of the season at Majestic Valley Arena where Hannah and I did the grand entry & cleared the arena. Savannah was there doing a great job representing and we all did a bit of 50/50 ticket selling as well. The most recent appearance Hannah and I were able to make was this past Saturday at the Pink Duck Rodeo held at the Kalispell Center Mall. The proceeds are all staying local through TETWP of Montana and will provide free mammograms for women who can't afford them in the fight against breast cancer. There was a great turn out and it was good to be out in the community showing support of a great cause. So there you have it: the last almost 4 months in one blog posting! Our next events at this point are the Christmas parades around the valley so we hope to see you there!
